I am involved in electronics and communications since 77. Actually 73 if you consider tinkering with electronics. Closely involved with computers and tech ever since. My interest in Free and libre software was triggered by Dr. Nagrjuna (HBCSE) Philip Tellis and a few others in 2000. We were probably the first users in Mumbai. It rekindled memories of BSD (on 30 5.25" floppies) i tried in 87. I was hooked.
Using linux has made me acutely aware of the politics of technology and the direct role of government policies in (Mis)shaping our lives. This has drawn me into various activist interventions, to prevent such happenings.
